Super Bowl XLIV

Hey everyone! Things are going great. Cory, the boys, and myself were sick all last week. It was awful. We totally hunkered down and detoxed ourselves.
Today we're over at Mema's house watching the game with Ger-pa, and his daughter Erin. I'm cheering on Indianapolis and Cory's fantasy draft has him rooting for the Saints. I say 'black'. He says 'white'. I guess that's what keeps things interesting. :o)
Pam, the boys and me are going to go to NW Kids Place this coming Wednesday. I haven't told Jack about it yet because he's at the age where things, exciting or scary, get him all anxious.
We've been playing outside every chance we get and I can just see how big the boys are growing based on the changing seasons. What Jack can do that he couldn't last year, and Dallas! Dallas is getting to be such a BIG boy. He's cruising around everywhere! Chasing Jack and myself around the house. It's great. He also saying his first word several sessions a day, and with help from his big bro, it's Mama! I'm pretty excited. Jack's was Dada. Then Baba. Then Mama. I think it's because Jack says Mama about 1000 times a day that Dallas thinks it's the word to say.
We're all doing great. Everyone's growing. Everyone's healthy... this week. And we're just really excited for Spring to get here. Like everyone else I'm sure!

Finally

Hi everyone! Sorry there has been such a gap in between entrys. I've been super busy with the holidays and things have just started to wind down.
So, the first weekend of the new year, the family along with my dad and his wife, went to union Washington to stay at a resort for a couple days. Durning that time Dallas got his first tooth and started crawling! He's moving so fast these days. Such a big boy.
Jack and Dallas has SO much fun durning the Christmas season. Jack really got into the whole holiday and Dallas just loves anything his brother loves.
Cory and I have been making a lot of advance plas for the year. Just trying to have a plan. We're planning a trip to Las Vegas around the beginning of October. It's goingto give us something fun to look forward too. We definatly have to wait until after fire season.
Things are really great for us all right now. The boys have a slight head, nose, throat cold, but are still being so good. And Cory and I have plans to go and stay the night at Spirit Mtn. this Friday night. We got a free vochour for a free nights stay so we figure we better use it before it expires! I don't really like to gamble, but Cory enjoys it so wish him luck!
Hope everyone had a great holiday!

Time is FLYING by...

Time is moving so quickly these days.

This past weekend we all went to visit Grandpa and Grandma Geisler in Knappa. It was Aubrey's 2nd birthday so we went to have some fun. Jack was such a good boy. He didn't go after the presents once. The only close call was when he ran into the front room with a plastic golf club raised over his head. I know that kid can swing so we had to 'redirect' to something not so hard on contact.

The rest of the weekend was great. G&G are currently going through a kitchen remodel. It was completely gutted. The first layer of fresh paint was the only thing in there. We used the laundry room as a make shift kitchen and they have the trailer pulled to the back of the house for a stove. It was so much fun. Almost like camping, but with warm beds. Sunday morning Cheri made use all ham and cheese omlets in the trailer and Jack thought it was the coolest thing. He layed out all the pots and pans and kept having G&G sample his 'breakfest'.

Sunday was the trip home, but we were only here long enough to unpack and get Dallas down for a quick nap and Jack some dinner before we left for another birthday party at NW Kids Club off of Market and Hawthorne. It was for Mahala who turned 4, and it was totally awesome! Jack spent the first hour' like every other kid that was there, running around to all the different stations checking out all the toys and trying them out for like a minute before moving on to something else. His favorites were the huge sandbox were a little girl threw a shovel full of sand in his hair (unknown to Jack who was playing so hard), the bouncey house where he stayed for at least an hour, and the toy vaccume (I don't know... he won't do it at home). It was an under-the-sea little mermaid princess party, and Holly (the mom) did an amazing job with the decorations. Jack had so much fun, and needless to say he came home took a bath and was in bed asleep by 8.15 (party was over at 7.50)!

This week we're going to try to get out and play in the fall whether as much as we can. I'm not looking forward to the rain coming. I don't mind it, but Jack gets major cabin fever, and with this H1N1 we really have to be careful about taking the boys out to anywhere that might get them sick. Both of the boys are schedualed to get both the H1N1 and flu shot this Friday, but Dallas is still so little and young that it makes me worry. Washing our hands constently and even using Perel (even though I hate that stuff). Oh well, I'm probably overreacting, but I'd rather do anything I can so my kids don't get sick. I was swful as a kid when I got sick. Actually I still am. Cory has plently of stories, but please don't ask him they are very embarrassing.

I going to go now, but I'll write another entry next week. We're going to our annual trip to the Aurora pumpkin patch. This year will make are 3 year, and each time it's so cool to see the new things that Jack is into. First year the horse ride. Last year the 'nut house'....

The Long Week

Ok, so, it's been a long week. I've been trying to get the boys back into their routines and taking care of things that need to get done around the house before we leave tomorrow afternoon.

I guess the funniest thing that has happend around here involves Jack and ALL the neighbor kids. Jack usually goes out and plays with his friend Dylan when he gets home from kindergarden, well that still happends, but now some new people moved in at the end of our road (3 houses down at the dead end) and they have 3 kids; a 2 1/2 yr old boy and 7 and 11 yr old daughters. Everyday this week Dylan and Kayla start knocking at the front door the second they get home from school and wanting jack to come out and drive his car w.....

(fastforward 5 1/2 hours and a lot of cleaning and diapers)

Jack just got up from his nap and his new favorite movie is Poccahontus. He is such a little boy too. When he watchs it he gets really into the whole indians and settler story and gets really embarrassed when the characters hug and stuff. He covers his month and laughs.

Ok this was suposed to be longer, but 24 hours later and i've run out of time. Posting AS IS.

OSU vs. Arizonia

Cory, the boys and I all survived the game on Saturday. We made it down to Corvallis pretty early and tailgated at the truck for awhile eatting hotdogs and drinking juice. Cory and Jack threw around the football, while Dallas and I laid in the grass taking in the beautiful day. Then we went over to the AKS tailgate and hungout there for a bit. Alot better postion to the stadium than where we parked.

The game was kind of a bust, but Jack had fun for a large portion of it. The 4th quarter sort of slowed him down and he spent the rest of the game watching Dora on my phone through V Cast (what a blessing). Dallas was a little shocked at first, but really started to get into the atmosphere after a short time. Cory and I were a little different. We were really glad that we took the boys with us, but it was such a long day that we probably won't take both of them together for awhile.

Sunday we went to St. Peter's church picnic then went over to grandpa Rice's house and helped tear up his garage. Riped up cabinets and tour up shelving. Jack was such a big help hauling of boards to the trailer. We have to go back in a few days to help redue the laundry room/garage/and half-bath. It should look really great when it's all done. I mean, that's the plan right?

We are going to hang out and have a slow week at home. Playdate on Thursday, then we're headed to the beach to visit grandpa and grandma Geisler! The boys are staying home and Grandpa, Cory and I are headed out to get some fresh crab! Mmmm.... Hopefully we will get some great pictures. Maybe one of Cory with his head of the side of the boat. :o)

Just Getting Started!

Hi everyone! Cory and I were recently talking about how much we needed a way to keep the people in our lives updated on what was going on with us and the boys. So I've decided a blog page would probably work the best. Hopefully this will prove to be as easy as I hope and I'll update it regularly and everyone will enjoy knowing what's going on at the Geisler house.

Today we're just laying around getting the boys lots of rest. Tomorrow we're all going to the OSU vs. Arizonia game at Reeser Stadium! Jack went to 2 games last year and LOVED it. The crowd really got him going and he loves to scream TOUCHDOWN! Hopefully he will get lots of opportunities to yell it. This is Dallas's first football game. I promise to make Cory take lots of pictures! :o)

Well, I think this is pretty good for my first blog. I will be back tomorrow or Sunday to update you all on how the game went and how the boys were.

GO BEAVS!!!
